History

INTRODUCTION



The theme for this year’s auspicious day of India’s Independence is ‘Nation First, Always First’. This year India commemorates the 75th anniversary of our freedom struggle. On this auspicious day August 15, 1947, India got its freedom from British rule. Independence Day holds an extraordinary place in the hearts of all Indians.
Here we will look into the development which took place in India recently from Kakori Train Action to Deshbhakti Curriculum.



KAKORI TRAIN ACTION


Currently, the Kakori Train Action Conspiracy has been renamed to Kakori Train Action by the Uttar Pradesh Government while paying tributes to the revolutionaries who were hanged for robbing a train at Kakori to buy weapons in 1925 is a landmark Freedom Movement event.
(HSRA) Hindustan Socialist Republican Association (earlier it was known as Hindustan Republican Association HRA) was established and conceived by Shri Ram Prasad Bismil and Shri Ashfaqullah Khan to carry out revolutionary activities against the British Empire in India to achieve Independence.

Shri Bismil and his party decided to loot a train to fulfill the organization’s need for money to purchase weapons and it was executed by Shri Chandrashekhar Azad, Shri Ram Prasad Bismil apart from other leaders.




SELF-RELIANCE



Today Citizens favor products that are made in India. Self-Reliant or Aatmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyaan is a campaign for the vision of a new India.

Recently the Government of India has allocated Rupees 11,000 crore for the National Mission on Edible Oil-Oil Palm (NMEO-OP) for over a five-year to make self-sufficient edible oil production.

On August 15, 2021, the Prime Minister has given a call to celebrate 100 years of India’s Independent along with securing that we meet our goal of building Aatmanirbhar Bharat.



MAJOR DHYAN CHAND AWARD



The Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award renamed as the Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna Award is a tribute to the legendary hockey player.

He was known for his extraordinary goal-scoring feats. He won three Olympic gold medals.

Major Dhyan Chand’s turned down the job he was offered in the German Army as well as German Citizenship to continue to play for India.




WOMEN IN COMBAT SERVICE



The Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBP) commissioned it’s first two women Officers Prakriti and Deeksha in Combat is a proud moment for every citizen of India.

Governed by the Ministry of Home Affairs ITBP(Indo-Tibetan Border Police) force guards the Line of Actual Control (LAC) along the India China Border.

Prime Minister on August 15, 2021, has announced opening Sainik schools to girls.



PARTITION HORRORS REMEMBRANCE DAY



To acknowledge the pain undergone by Indians due to the partition of India in1947 the Prime Minister of India has notified August 14 every year will be observed as ‘Partition Horrors Remembrance Day’.

It will call attention on us to the need to remove the poison of social divisions and disharmony.

Our Honorable Prime Minister has tweeted “Partition’s pains can never be forgotten. Millions of our sisters and brothers were displaced and many lost their lives due to mindless hate and violence. In memory of the struggles and sacrifices of our people, 14 August will be observed as Partition Horrors Remembrance Day.


ROLL-OUT OF DESHBHAKTI CURRICULUM


India


Delhi Government has given nod for the roll-out of the ‘Deshbhakti Curriculum’ which would inculcate patriotism in young minds.
It aims to develop a deep sense of respect towards constitutional values along with responsibilities towards the country, commitment to making a sacrifice for the country.


GATI SHAKTI PLAN



The Prime Minister has announced an ambitious Rs 100 Lakh crore Gatishakti National Master Plan to create holistic infrastructure development which will help in generating employment opportunities for the youth and also announced the launch of a National Hydrogen Mission to make India the new global heart of green hydrogen and its largest exporter while giving the call for Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas’.

He also announced the rollout of 75 new Vande Bharat Express trains that will connect every capital of the northeast states with different parts of the country and a big announcement also came from Red Fort that all the distributed rice through government schemes will be fortified by 2024 to fight malnutrition.

He also mentioned the challenge of terrorism (without naming Pakistan) and expansionism (alluding to China).
